Escape Limerick is based above the Cinema Café on Nicholas Street in Limerick’s Medieval Quarter, near to King John’s Castle.

Here at Escape Limerick, we take the health and safety of all staff and customers very seriously. All bookings are private group bookings and there will be no mixing between groups. We also allow up to 30 minutes between bookings of the same room to ensure proper sanitization of props and equipment between bookings. Please note that protective face masks must always be worn on the Escape Limerick premises. Hand sanitizer will also be provided and use of such required. Failure to comply with Escape Limerick's Covid-19 regulations may result in refusal of service in which case, due to our cancellation policy, you may not be entitled to a refund. We want to keep our rooms fun, safe, and healthy for all our staff and customers. 

No, there are some surprises within our rooms, however none of them are intended to be scary.

Yes, you are completely safe. All rooms are monitored by staff at all times and if you want to leave the room at any point you can do so.

You should allow 1 hour and 20 minutes for briefing, playing the game and any questions you may have after. Please try to arrive at the confirmed booking time, as this is when your briefing will start. As we operate on a booking system, failure to arrive on time may result in lost time, depending on lateness, during your game to accommodate for subsequent bookings.

Nothing! Our escape rooms are a game and are meant to be enjoyed by everyone. You will not be stuck in the room upon your defeat. If you do not escape before your 60 minutes are over, you have lost the challenge and your game master will escort you back to the lobby, discuss your experience, answer your questions and capture a team photo, if desired. 

Don't feel bad if you lose, our games are designed to be challenging, allowing up to only 3 clues from staff for competitive purposes. However, if leaderboards and high scores aren't your thing, then you may ask for as many or as few clues as you desire! We have had adults and children alike both excel and struggle with our puzzles. Our games are what you make of them. 

We are open Tuesday-Sunday from 11am to 10pm. Prior booking is essential and must be done at least 3 hours before your game time. Same day bookings therefore close at 6.00pm each day with final games running from 9-10pm. Available games can be seen on our “Book Now” page.

Yes. Escape Limerick operates on a booking system. It is unlikely for a staff member to be present on site unless they are already running a game and, therefore, will not be available to run another at that moment in time. To guarantee your game, make sure to call ahead or book now on our "Book Now" page. Bookings must be made at least 3 hours in advance of your desired game time. 

Bookings cannot be cancelled or rescheduled by customers within 48 hours of the booked game. Cancellations within this timeframe will not be refunded. Outside of this 48 hour timeframe, please email office@escapelimerick.ie or call us at 061-951188 to cancel or reschedule your booking and we will be happy to accommodate you. ​

In the unlikely and unfortunate event that we at Escape Limerick are unable to fulfil your booking and are thus required to cancel, you will be contacted by a member of staff and issued a full refund. 

If you are unsure of numbers, we suggest booking for less people than expected. Extra players can always be added and paid for on the day once the maximum number of players per room is not exceeded.

We do not offer the option to provisionally book. All games must be booked and paid for in order to secure a booking. 

​Escape Limerick is for everyone. It is a fun activity for Friends, Families, Stag & Hen Parties, Corporate Teams & Groups, Birthday Parties, Tourists, Students or just as something fun and different to do as the start of a Night Out. 

Our rooms at Escape Limerick are designed for groups between 2 and 6 people. Any amount of players within that range will lend itself well to a fun experience. If you have a larger group, you'll need more than one room. Just contact us and we'll arrange this for you. 

Escape Rooms contain a variety of puzzles and riddles some of which are designed with adults in mind but children can solve many of them and mixed groups of young & old tend to play the best games.
We welcome players of all ages over 8 years old with some flexibility for families. Children under 16 must be accompanied by at least one adult.

No, we are not. 

No, this would defeat the purpose of the game and take away from your own fun and enjoyment. 

There is on-street parking available at our location and there are multiple car parks within a few minutes walk of our location.

Unfortunately, no. We are located on the first floor and our building does not have a lift at this time.

We do our best to accommodate all players to the best of our ability. Our individual games have puzzles requiring the use of the following senses: ​

Troubled Waters: Sight​

King John's Dungeon: Sight, Smell, Sound​

McCourt's Classroom: Sight, Sound

Please note that some of these puzzles comprise only a small element of the overall game, and with the correct assistance and/or teamwork our games can still be enjoyed by all. Yes, you can either notify us when you are booking or advise us when you arrive. Either way we can issue you an invoice upon request.

None of our games involve heavy physical exertion however we would recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes.

We are a strictly non-alcohol, non-substance venue. Anyone displaying signs of drunkenness will be asked to leave.
