Abbey River Coffee

A family run, independent coffee shop, serving top quality, speciality coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks (including gluten free snacks) to the lovely people of Limerick. This cute and dainty pint-sized stone building is located on Mathew Bridge, Merchant’s Quay in front of the Potato Market Car Park and across the road from the Locke Bar.

Open 7am to 5pm Mon to Fri and 10am to 4pm on Saturday.

A brand new cafe, located in the heart of the Medieval Quarter, across from King John’s Castle, serving freshly made Breakfast, Lunch and catering for all occasions! Katie Daly’s Bar and Restaurant

Located a stone’s throw away from King John’s Castle. Serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Enjoy a local drink and tasty food surrounded by a warm atmosphere. It is a great spot to stop before a match in the nearby Thomond Park or to watch all sports. Their outdoor seating area is a great place to relax and enjoy a meal on a Summer’s day.

The Cinema Cafe/ Stix

Located downstairs from Escape Limerick, this Cafe is a well know Limerick landmark. Previously home to the Thomond Cinema is now famous for its Stix Special Burger and Chips. A great spot for a bite to eat.

King John’s Castle

Limerick Civic Trust Walking Tours

This particular tour commences at the Bishops’ Palace, the headquarters of Limerick Civic Trust and your group will visit many historic landmarks including The Bard of Thomond Monument, King John’s Castle, The Toll House, St. Munchin’s Church, Villiers Alms House, The Bishops’ Palace and The Treaty Stone. Saint Mary’s Cathedral
